I transfer LP's to CD and have found Gruve Glide to be the best product on the market. Don't waste your time. Buy Gruve glide instead. D4 left residue on my records and did not clean them at all. I hope this deters you from purchasing a product that does not work.
This stuff works great. Removes minute particles and provides the best cleaning for great sound, other than owning a very expensive vacuum cleaning system. Nothing helps with scratches or skips due to damage to the grooves themselves, but this product will give you an inexpensive way to hear the full reproduction of the music without any particulate matter causing clicks or pops.
If you still listen to albums or are copying them to your computer, this stuff is a requirement for lifting dust, fingerprints or anything off the surface of the album before playing. It is not just isopropyl alcohol and the formula lifts debris, however small, from the grooves in the record so your record brush can remove them from the surface of the record before playing. I give it 4 stars; only because it should come in a larger size for archiving albums to your computer (a big job).
I have used this since the 80's and am using it intensely now as I copy my vinyl to digital (sigh). I also use an anti-static gun. With the associated application kit, this does a great job and the records (and files) sound very clear. I am lucky to live in an area where I can buy D4 in record stores.
I'm digitizing my record collection. This product did an excellent job of cleaning up old groves.
